Kent Cornmesser Forge Adventures Adventurer

Meet Adventurer Kent Cornmesser.

Retired from healthcare, but just getting started on the trail, Kent has embraced adventure with the kind of energy that proves the best journeys do not have an age limit. Alongside his wife, he has become a dedicated non-motorized explorer — always ready to hike, bike, or paddle into whatever beautiful place lies ahead.

Kent is the official holder of the “sacred spur of the moment”. His favorite trips are the ones that begin with a simple camper, no fixed agenda, and a willingness to see where the road leads. For Kent, every mile is a gift, every sunrise is worth chasing, and the best adventures are often the unplanned ones.

His current setup centers around an older tow-behind camper that has been upgraded with a Forge Adventures solar kit and lithium batteries, giving him the freedom to enjoy longer boondocking stays while traveling the country. That off-grid capability has made it easier to slow down, stay awhile, and experience more of the places that make the journey worthwhile.

Simple camper. Zero plans. Endless adventure.

Kent also plays an important role behind the scenes for the Forge Adventures community. He helps plan rally routes, contributes campground and park reviews, and shares practical insights to help fellow adventurers make the most of their own travels.

You can find Kent’s route notes, reviews, and travel insights in the Exciting Stuff section of the Forge Adventures site, where his experience helps others discover new places and travel with more confidence.

For Kent, adventure is not about speed — it is about freedom, gratitude, and the joy of heading out toward parts unknown.
